Judge and court lookup MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT
Add one URL to your AI assistant and it can find a judge by name and state, pull a judge's court, caseload and practice-area activity, list recent public cases, and search courts. Results come from JudgeFinder and say where they came from.
The five tools
| legal_search_judges | query, state, limit. |
| legal_get_judge | slug. Court, caseload, practice-area activity. |
| legal_judge_recent_cases | judge_id, limit. |
| legal_search_courts | query, state, county, type, limit. |
| legal_court_judges | court_id, limit. |
Example
Ask your assistant: Find judges named Rivera in California, then show the recent cases for the first one. It calls the tools in order:
legal_search_judges query: "Rivera" state: "CA" legal_judge_recent_cases judge_id: (id from the first result) limit: 10
Where the data comes from
The tools read from JudgeFinder, a judge lookup built on CourtListener docket metadata, built by the same operator. Records can be incomplete or out of date, so each answer names its source and the assistant can send you there to check.
Read this before you use it
The results are public-record information. They are not legal advice, and they are not a basis for deciding anything about a case on their own. Verify against the court's own records.
